Interesting new paper – maladaptation in resurrected Daphnia from heavy metal contaminated sediments

A dispatch article (“A crustacean time capsule” by P. Monahan) in Frontiers in Ecology and the Environment highlights a new paper (Rogalski. 2017 American Naturalist ) that examines maladaptation in resurrected populations of Daphnia ambigua to heavy metal contamination in lake sediments.  These results are quite interesting and puzzling at the same time.
