Teaching

I currently offer a section of our sophomore-level Evolution course (BIOL-2013) each fall semester.  In the spring semester, I alternate among a variety of courses, which include Conservation Genetics (BIOL-4573/5573), Ecological Genetics (BIOL-5333), and a Senior Seminar/Capstone (BIOL-4983) course centered on Adaptation & Climate Change.   For those students who might be interested in enrolling in one (or more) of these courses, and who would like more information, please email me at ljweider@ou.edu.  I also involve undergraduates in research via Independent Study/Directed Readings and Honors Reading/Research.  This is on top of mentoring my graduate students, as well as serving as a member of M.S. and Ph.D. student committees.   For those students interested in possible research opportunities in my lab, please check out further information here.
